Complainants would get a Unique Identification Number (UIN) and they can see the status of their complaints by logging into the website of NDMC.

Also they will get the details of the officer in-charge who is looking into their case.

"A grievance will be acknowledged at the most within three days of its receipt. Further, a grievance shall be redressed within a period of a maximum of 15 days of its receipt, unless a reasoned reply is issued to the aggrieved pensioners," a statement said.

Other than the toll free number (1800116362) to lodge a complaint, other modes like e-mail, cell phone, post or in person can also be used, it said.
