The schools run by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will now have a Student Achievement Tracking System (SATS) to track the academic and non-academic progress of the students.
NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PwC India Foundation today in this regard.
"The objective of the system is to track each and every child in all the schools under the jurisdiction of the NDMC and create a database," Kumar said.
"Besides monitoring the schools' resources and their performance, online capturing of attendance and exam results, scholarships and incentive disbursements, making the information available to the parents and students, the system will digitise the students' records for future references, eliminating the need for paper-based documentation," he added.
The project is being implemented in 42 NDMC schools and will be completed by next month.
According to the MoU, while the NDMC will extend all the assistance in developing the digital platform, PwC India Foundation will provide the hardware and connectivity required for the project.
