The Horticulture department of NDMC has located three spots in the plush gardens where bandicoots exist.

25 to 30 holes of bandicoots in the gardens have been traced and eight cages have been placed there to trap them, an official said.

So far, ten bandicoots have already been trapped.

An awareness camp has also been launched amongst the general walkers and users of the garden located in a high-profile area asking them not to feed the bandicoots.
