A National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was called in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district to rescue four people stranded on one side of the Giri river due to high water level, officials said today.
A total of six people were stranded in Paonta Sahib tehsil on Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand border following heavy rainfall, Sirmaur Superintendent of Police Rohit Malpani said.
Two of them have been rescued by the police with the help of local divers, but four are still stranded, he said.
