Ningthouyam Romen alias Rocky, an alleged member of Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) (KCP-MC), a banned terror outfit, was remanded to Manipur police custody by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Manish Yaduvanshi before whom Rocky was produced by Delhi police.
Rocky, 27 was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police yesterday from ISBT Sarai Kale Khan here on charges of being involved in several extortion, kidnapping and terrorist cases and operating from in and around Delhi.
The police had found him allegedly in possession of various incriminating materials including five mobile phones, 15 extortion letters of his terrorist outfit and two driving licences in fake names.
During interrogation, Rockey allegedly told police that that he is the commander-in-chief and finance secretary of KCP (MC) and while residing in Agra, he continued to make threat and extortion calls to people in various places including Nepal.
The city police told the court that it arrested Rocky on an information received on October 26 from Manipur (Range I) deputy inspector general of police through fax that Rocky, a hardcore militant of the banned outfit, is operating from outside Manipur by taking shelter in and around Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
