Nearly 300 students praticipate in Talent hunt

: Nearly 300 students from different schools across the city today participated in the 10th leg of the 'Gail-The Fastest India' talent hunt here today.
The talent hunt, organised by Gail and Spoment, has successfully passed through nine cities including Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Goa & Delhi and will be carrying this momentum to more cities across the country in the next six weeks, a press release said.
This novel initiative was an attempt to find the next Milkha Singh for the country and targeted at securing medals in athletics in Tokyo Olympics 2020, it said.
The Legendary athlete, who is the principal mentor of this annual event, will also provide his input and help in selecting and grooming potential winners.
Kochi saw the hunt take off on a remarkable momentum at the Cochin University, Edapally.
The students participated in 100, 200 and 400 meter heats. The high spirited races were followed by the finals, which were held in the afternoon proceeding which the prize distribution commenced.
