Need to make implants more affordable to people: ex-CJI

Former Chief Justice of India H L Dattu today stressed on the need to make implants more "affordable and accessible" for the people, specially who are impoverished
Inaugurating the 10th World Congress for Oral Implantolgoy (WCOI) here, he said there is a need of greater access of oral implant therapy and the accessibility of the modern therapy in India could be achieved through the Make in India initiative.
"Oral implantologists should search ways to make dental implants more "affordable and accessible" for the people, specially who are impoverished," he said.
The former CJI said that the accessibility of the modern therapy in India could be achieved through the Make in India initiative.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also termed the three-day WCOI as an important occassion for the city and the country.
He also lauded the role of oral implantologists in the modern days where life style and eating habits of people have changed.
The WCOI, co-organised with 5th International Conference of Oral Implantologistst South East Asia, is being held here in which delegates from 20 countries such as Japan, the US, UK, Germany, Sri Lanka and France are participating.
