Neha Tripathi favourite for eighth leg of Hero Women's Golf

Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi, who has been in stellar form with three consecutive wins at the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013, will be leading the field for the eighth leg of the tour to be held at the Karnataka Golf Association golf course here from August 20-23.
The eighth leg will, however, miss star golfer and Hero MotoCorp Sponsored Bangalore's Sharmila Nicollet, who is currently recuperating from an ankle injury.
Neha with her wins in the last three events has showcased some exceptional golfing temperament to emerge as the current leader of the Hero Order of Merit 2013 with total earnings of Rs 6,60,000 at the end of the seventh leg.
The Kolkata youngster leads the Hero Order of Merit 2013 for the first time in her three years of playing on the tour as a professional. Veteran Delhi golfer Smriti Mehra and Vani Kapoor follow Neha in the total earnings till the last event, trailing by Rs 1,75,000.
The Rs 5,00,000 event will consist of 15 professional golfers fighting it out for the top honours.
Rookie golfer Shweta Galande from Poona will have many eyes set on her as she gets ready for her second tournament as a professional. She made an impressive start to her professional career in golf with a fifth position finish at the recently concluded seventh leg of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour.
The eighth leg will also witness the return of Bhavi Shah from Kenya, Bhavi had to missed the seventh leg due to personal commitments.
The Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013 comprises a total of 14 legs spanning across key locations in India.
