Nepal earthquake: MP govt declares Rs 5 cr help for victims

Madhya Pradesh will contribute Rs 5 crore in the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund as an aid for people affected by a powerful 7.9-magnitude earthquake which rocked Nepal and various parts of India.

"Madhya Pradesh will donate Rs 5 crore to Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to help people affected by earthquake. We stand with people in our country and in Nepal hit by the natural calamity at this moment," Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told reporters here today.

"The natural calamity has played havoc in Nepal and caused a widespread destruction in Bihar and West Bengal," he added.
