A Nepali woman was today rescued after spending days trapped under the rubble following the devastating earthquake that jolted the country, killing over 4,350 people.
Sunita Sitoula was trapped under the rubble along with several others after the powerful temblor brought down a five-storied house.
The survivor is currently taking refuge at a local school with her husband and two sons who managed to escape unhurt, eKantipur reported today.
"It feels like I have come into a different world," said Sitoula after being pulled out.
Hundreds of people are still trapped under tonnes of rubble in the capital Kathmandu and some of the worst-affected remote mountainous areas amid concerns that the death toll could cross 5,000 mark.
With acute shortage of food, water, electricity and medicines coupled with fear of another quake, panic-stricken people have erected makeshift tents across Kathmandu and continue to live outdoors.
A plethora of makeshift tents dotting the Kathmandu landscape can be seen as far as the eye could see.
Rescue operations are in full swing in Kathmandu. India and other countries from international community are doing all to help and support the quake-hit nation.
