Netaji's autobiography translated into Odia

The Odia translation of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's autobiography "An Indian Pilgrim" will be released on the legendary leader's birth anniversary on Thursday here by Netaji Birthplace Museum.
The autobiography translated by Dr Biayini Singhdeo and published by Sahitya Academy is titled "Bharat Patheeka". This was also earlier translated in Bengali under the same title.
Meanwhile, the museum at Odia Bazar here is also getting a facelift for the occasion and permanent lighting facility around the museum for the light and sound system is already at place. Baba Ramdev is scheduled to visit the museum on the day and would garland the statue of Netaji inside the museum.
Ravenshaw Collegiate, an alma mater of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose is gearing up along with other organizations in the city to observe the birth anniversary of the legendary leader on Thursday.
The Old Students' Association of the school, like previous years have decided to felicitate an old student of the school-Prof Dr Gouri Shankar Acharya with 'Chhatra Gourab' award. Similarly, an old teacher of the school-Biswanath Mohapatra will be hounoured with 'Kruti Sikhsyak' award.
The Association would also hold a public meeting inside the campus of the school in which several political leaders and old students of the school would attend.
The district administration has also chalked out plans to observe Netaji Jayanti, which would be low-key in view of the model code of conduct for the civic body elections is in force.
