The Netherlands to be the 'focus country' at the three-day World Food India 2017 to be held from November 3 this year.
This was communicated by Dutch Agriculture Minister Martijn van Dam in a meeting with Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal in Hague, an official statement said.
"This is indeed a good step forward....Participation from the Netherlands will help businesses from both sides to leverage each other's strengths for mutual benefit," said Badal, who has gone there to invite Dutch government and business for the mega event.
As a focus country, the Netherlands will receive opportunity to present its expertise in food processing sector through country seminars and space to exhibit the services provided by its companies, the statement added.

A roadshow was also held to highlight the investor friendly policies and growth prospects in the food processing industry in India, a separate statement said.
Till now, 30 countries have confirmed their participation in the event. Italy has also confirmed its presence as a 'focus country'.
