NEUFC raring to go ahead of ISL 2

Despite finishing with the wooden spoon in the inaugural edition last year, the Indian Super League franchise Northeast United FC are ready to take the plunge yet again for the tourney beginning October 3.
"Awesome experience last year. This time the bar has been raised and the players as well as entire staff are focused towards the competition," the club owner and Bollywood actor John Abraham said after unveiling the kit here today.
The side are now a combination of youth and experience and ready for the challenge in the second edition of the tournament, Abraham said.
'Marquee Player' Simao Sabrosa, who played for FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, said, "I am very happy to join NEUFC and the team are raring to go and win the tournament."
Nicolas Velez, the club's Argentine professional, asserted, "We are not here for vacation, we are here to win the competition."
Alan Deory, the player from Assam, promised to score goals for the people of the region and win the trophy.
Performax, the sportswear brand by Reliance Trends, is the official kit partner of NEUFC.
