Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that his government had never differentiated among regions when it came to development.
If officials in all the 68 assembly constituencies work with commitment, then projects can be completed in a stipulated time period and the state will see speedy progress, he said.
"I have never differentiated among regions as far as development is concerned," said Singh, who was accompanied by Irrigation Vidya Stokes, at the inauguration of the Garog- Gandhal drinking water supply scheme in Shimla Rural assembly segment.
The scheme, officials said, is expected to benefit 82,000 people in 39 panchayats till 2033 and provide 7 million litre of water per day (MLD).
The foundation stone of the project was laid in 2015 and it has been completed within the stipulated time period of two and a half years, the chief minister said.
Water will be taken from the Sainj Nallah to the main reservoirs at Garogh-Ghandal and distributed to the panchayats, the officials said.
Singh also inaugurated a 33 KV electricity sub-station at Dargi along with Power Minister Sujan Singh Pathania.
