"The objective of the government is to develop every corner of the state with improved basic amenities. In this connection, the government has prepared revised masterplans for urban pockets in view of increase of population and area (of Jammu)," state Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla said yesterday.
Bhalla, who was addressing a gathering at Bahu Fort in the city, added, "It is the duty of the government to provide basic amenities like adequate drinking water, road connectivity, education, power, health, besides better lanes and drains in every newly developed as well as already established colonies."
