New Rs 500 notes arrive in Mizoram

The first consignment of new Rs 500 notes along with Rs 100 notes arrived in Aizawl today, State Bank of India Aizawl Branch's Assistant General Manager Pradeep Kumar Sen said.
These Rs 500 notes were the first to arrive in Mizoram after demonetisation of old Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes by the Centre since November eight midnight.
"The Rs 500 note would be issued by different banks from counters from Monday," Sen told PTI
He also expressed hope that these notes would be dispensed by the ATMs from Tuesday.
