"A new scheme is being prepared by HSIIDC under which land will be purchased by the Corporation in villages at the rates fixed by district administration in consultation with villagers so that maximum employment opportunities could be generated for local people by setting up industrial units near villages in the backward blocks," Khattar said here.
The land rates shall be fixed by the district administration with the consent of land owners. This will create more employment opportunities for rural people, he said.
On this occasion, Chief Minister announced a number of projects worth crore of rupees for the development of the constituency.
These are construction of park in Siwan, a stadia on four acres of land in village Baupur, upgradation of Guhla Rest House with Rs 3.5 crore, scheme for providing potable water to four villages through RO system, Rs 50 crore for construction and repair of 20 roads, setting up Gaushala in Cheeka and a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the Gaushala, among other projects.

He said that village Siwan would be developed on the pattern of urban village under a scheme as per which 120 big villages with population of over 10,000 would be developed on par with urban areas.
On the request to provide ownership right to patedars (lease holders), the Chief Minister said it is a policy matter and a decision will be taken soon.
Taking a dig at the previous government, the Chief Minister said earlier that from top to bottom several leaders were allegedly involved in corruption.
