New train between Chennai and Santragachi from Jan 21

A bi-weekly superfast express train service between Chennai and Santragachi in Howrah would be introduced from January 21, a Southern Railway release said today.
The fully air-conditioned superfast express would leave Santragachi at 7 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays and reach Chennai Central at 10.45 am on Wednesdays and Saturdays, it said.
The train would leave Chennai Central at 7.55 am on Thursdays and Sundays and reach Santragachi at 10.25 am on Fridays and Mondays.
Reservations for these trains would commence from tomorrow, it added.
Southern Railways has also permanently augmented the Bilaspur-Chennai Central-Bilaspur weekly express trains with one AC 3-tier coach from February 2, according to the release.
