Newly married couple commit suicide

A newly-married couple today allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in Pulbag area of Vizianagaram town, police said.
28-year-old K Gunasekhar, who worked as a teacher at a government-run school, and his wife K Sravanthi (25) belonged to different castes, and their parents were opposed to their marriage.
They had got married only a month ago, and were staying in a flat here. Their families had snapped the ties with the couple, police said.
Gunasekhar returned home at around 5 PM today, and found Sravanthi hanging from a ceiling fan.
In a state of shock, he too hanged himself, police said.

The wife's suicide note revealed that she was much distressed due to the circumstances in which they got married.
Police are conducting further probe.
