Newly-wed woman injured in bison attack, dies

Tragedy struck a Chennai couple when they were attacked by a bison in Sim's park on their honeymoon trip to Coonoor in neighbouring Nilgiris district, resulting in the death of the woman.
Thamarai (28), who sustained serious abdomen injuries in the attack, succumbed at the government hospital here, police said today.
While Thamarai died yesterday without responding to treatment, her husband Dinesh, who had suffered minor injuries, was discharged, they said.
On October 24, the bison had attacked the couple while they were trying to capture the animal on their mobile.
The duo had been admitted to the government hospital here for treatment.
