The company, which got founded last year, is a network for students, researchers and enthusiasts in mathematics, physics as well as other sciences.
Funds will be deployed for expanding content, developing engaging tools and increasing its contributor as well as user base, Function Space said in a statement.
The company is also planning to launch an app for iPhone and android in the next one month.
Pursuant to the transaction, Sandeep Singhal, Co-founder & MD, Nexus Venture Partners would be joining the Board at Function Space.
"We hope to see a platform, where researchers can discuss advanced topics and enthusiasts can be exposed to a collection of traditional as well as emerging knowledge in STEM (Science, Technology and Mathematics)," Naren Gupta, co-founder and managing director of Nexus Venture Partners, said.
The company, whose founding team has a technology and design background, aim to offer a complete online ecosystem of resources including articles, video lectures, problem solving discussions and networking.
