India Post on Friday unveiled a postal stamp to honour NGO Narayan Seva Sansthan, working for the treatment and rehabilitation of differently-abled people.
The Rs 5 stamp features the logo of the Udaipur based NGO along with the picture its polio hospital in the city.
The ticket was launched in the presence of Post Master General, Ajmer Divison Rambharosa, Head Superintendent, Udaipur Post Office Mandal G S Gurjar and Founder and Chairman, Narayan Seva Sansthan Kailash Agarwal.
The launch of the stamp came to showcase the organisation's work for differently-abled and underprivileged individuals by empowering them physically, socially and economically, Agrawal said in a release here.
On the occasion, the postal department also announced that it will open a new post office at the Badi campus of the NGO which will be managed by the head post master of nearby Thoor Village.
