The land will be made available by the Jammu and Kashmir government for constructing a new ITI building at Uri and the NHPC would bear the half of the construction, infrastructure and machinery cost, an official spokesman here said.
The spokesman said this decision was taken at a meeting yesterday chaired by state Irrigation minister Taj Mohiuddin.
It was also decided that NHPC would fund the renovation and infrastructure upgradation of the existing ITI, the spokesman said.
In case any new trade is to be introduced at the ITI or any existing trade is to be upgraded, the expenses will be borne by the NHPC, he said.
The spokesman said NHPC will also bear the expenses of the staff-- including principal and instructors-- on academic arrangement basis for three years, until a permanent staff is posted there.
