NIA Deputy Superintendent Kanchan Mitra, who is the investigating officer in the case, moved an application at the CJM's court here seeking transfer of the case to the city sessions court in Kolkata .
The NIA also moved an application for handing over all the documents pertaining to the case.
Acting district judge Suresh Bishwakarma directed the Acting CJM Payel Bandopadhyay to transfer the case to a Kolkata court and send the documents to the Kolkata court through a special messenger.
The NIA registered a case in the national capital yesterday under various sections of Indian Penal Code including the provision for waging war against the country, Explosive Substances Act, and various sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
The case pertains to an explosion in a rented house at Khagragarh, on October 2 which left two persons, believed to be members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, dead and it is being investigated by NIA Kolkata Branch.
