Burdwan Superintendent of Police SMH Mirza accompanied the NIA team which is investigating the October 2 blast in which two suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen militants were killed and another was injured, police said.
The team first went to Khagragarh in Burdwan town and examined the house where the blast took place.
Then they went to Shimulia in Mongolkote police station, about 50 km from Khargarah, to visit the madrasa where the accused allegedly took militant training, police said.
Six people, including the two women, were arrested in connection with the explosion. The blast killed two suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen militants and injured one.
NIA has taken over the investigation of Khagragarh blast on October 10 and Special NIA Court in Kolkata directed West Bengal Police to hand over the documents to the NIA.
Two suspected militants - Shakil Ahmed and Sovan Mandal - were killed and another person Hasan Saheb was injured in the explosion on October 2 in a house at Khagragarh in Burdwan town.
