Asked behind the reason of her looking prettier every single day, as years pass by, Tollywood diva Rituparna Sengupta said she doesn't think having resembled an ugly duckling at the start of her career.
Speaking at a Christmas Carnival, the 'Shet Pathorer Thala' actor smiled, "If people make passes about me as looking a 16-year old, well so be it, but please don't say I was ugly when I debuted."
Rituprana was speaking at the carnival of Methodist School, Dankuni, when the emcee quipped about her turning prettier with age, "A far cry from the plain Jane look as she set off 16 years back."
Letting her hair down at the premier Methodist School compound after day-long shoot for 'Memories in March' director Sanjoy Nag's 'Parapar', Rituparna credited the audience and her beevy of fans and friends "Who are my mental strength and the secret behind looking happier."
Imploring the crowd to soak into yuletide spirit, the multitasker-supermom turned to her school days, the time of chanting Christmas carol, the time "Of prayer and togetherness.
"For my two children, Christmas is becoming the most important occasion of the year. My son knows about it already, more because of gifts," the Alik Sukh star said before the crowd, comprising the children, their star-struck guardians besides teachers and school authorities.
Bishop Norton Emmanuel, Principal and Secretary, Methodist School, said by inducting Rituparna Sengupta, as the embodiment of feminine power, as part of its Christmas celebrations the leading institution in eastern region commemorated the true spirit of Christmas.
