Nickel and tin weaken on lower demand

Tin, nickel, lead and copper utensils weakened at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amid lower demand from alloy industries.
While, select copper and brass utensils scrap rebounded owing to renewed demand from industrial users and zinc gained due to good demand from alloy industries.
Nickel prices declined by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 760 from last Saturday's close at Rs 780 and tin slipped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,530 as against Rs 1,540.
Copper utensils edged down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 332 from last weekend's Rs 335 and lead softened by a Re per kg to Rs 142.
However, zinc rose by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 240 as compared Rs 232 previously and copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 378 from previous weekend's level Rs 375.
Copper armature and copper sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 362 and Rs 358 from Rs 360 and Rs 356 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 388, Rs 416 and Rs 286, respectively.
