Nickel, copper edge higher on global cues

Nickel and copper prices firmed up by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today largely on positive global cues.
Traders said sentiment bolstered mostly on the back of a firming trend overseas after a bullish outlook from investment banks, influenced nickel futures.
Meanwhile, nickel rose 1.7 per cent to USD 8,695 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 353 and Rs 847-852 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 96-102, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 847-852, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 353, Chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 78, lead imported Rs 84, aluminium ingots Rs 142, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 138, aluminium wire scrap Rs 138 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 136.
