Traders said sentiment bolstered mostly on the back of a firming trend overseas after a bullish outlook from investment banks, influenced nickel futures.
Meanwhile, nickel rose 1.7 per cent to USD 8,695 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 353 and Rs 847-852 per kg, respectively.
