Traders said apart from a weak trend overseas, subdued demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market mainly led to the decline in nickel and copper prices.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months lost 4.3 per cent to USD 9,755 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) and copper mixed scrap fell by Rs 5 and Rs 4 to Rs 852-857 and Rs 370 per kg, respectively.
