Traders said sentiment remained firm as nickel advanced in global markets after Indonesia reaffirmed its ore export ban and as data shows the global surplus has narrowed from last year.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months rose 0.3 per cent to USD 16,400 a metric tonne in the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) advanced by Rs 2 to Rs 1,092-1,098 per kg. Copper mixed scrap also enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 429 per kg.
