Elsewhere, select copper, brass and lead prices eased due to lower offtake from industrial users.

The Industrial metals were trading almost flat at LME as signs of a revival in China's economic growth and hopes of further easing by the US underpinned prices.

Nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,100 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,105.

Copper cables scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and lead all inched down by a rupee per kg to Rs 492, Rs 520, Rs 465, Rs 323, and Rs 126 respectively.

However, zinc climbed by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 144 from Rs 142.
