Nickel edges up on global cues, spot demand

Nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today, tracking a firm trend overseas amid pick-up in demand from consuming industries at domestic market.
Traders said, apart from a firm global trend, pick up in demand from alloy-makers at domestic spot market, mainly attributed the rise in nickel prices.
Globally, nickel for delivery in three-month climbed 1.5 per cent to USD 11,465 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) moved up by Rs 2 to Rs 812-817 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 110-116, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 812-817, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 359, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 91, lead imported Rs 97, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
