At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in September fell Rs 2.70, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 1,057.60 per kg in a business turnover of 582 lots.
The metal for delivery in October also went down by Rs 2.60, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 1,065.30 per kg in a turnover of 60 lots.
Analysts said the fall in nickel prices at futures trade was mostly in tandem with a weakening trend at the domestic spot markets due to subdued demand, but a firming trend in base metals overseas capped the losses.
