Nickel prices were down by 0.95 per cent to Rs 635.40 per kg in special Muhurat trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange today as participants booked profits to mark the beginning of Samvat year 2072.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Nickel for delivery in December eased by Rs 6.10, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 635.40 per kg in business turnover of 962 lots.
The November contract lost Rs 5.90, or 0.92 per cent to Rs 629.20 per kg in 81 lots.
Market participants said profit-booking by speculators, who opened their new accounts on the first session of Samvat year 2072, mainly influenced nickel prices at futures trade.
