Nickel prices on Monday fell 3.88 per cent to Rs 927.60 per kg in futures trade after participants trimmed their positions amid weak demand in spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 37.40, or 3.88 per cent, to Rs 927.60 per kg with a business turnover of 2,787 lots.
Similarly, nickel contracts for April delivery slumped by Rs 37.90, or 3.93 per cent, to Rs 927.50 per kg in 77 lots.
Analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here.
