At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in July rose by Rs 4.60, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 644 per kg in a business turnover of 4,761 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 4.50, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 648.70 per kg in 1,046 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants due to increased demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets, supported the upside in nickel prices at the futures trade.
