At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 4.90, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 618.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 655 lots.
The metal for delivery in August rose by Rs 4.20, or 0.68 per cent, to trade at Rs 622.30 per kg in 47 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants following increased demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets, supported the upside in nickel prices at the futures trade.
