Nickel prices remain high on rising demand

Nickel prices remained up for the third straight day and rose by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today on high demand from consuming industries.
However, base metals moved narrowly on scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said rising demand from consuming industries mainly kept nickel prices higher.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) added Rs 2 to Rs 1,053-1,058 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 116-122, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,053-1,058, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 408, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 99, Lead imported Rs 100, Aluminium ingots Rs 160, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 161, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 163 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 160.
