Nickel remain weak on global cues

Nickel prices fell further by Rs 5 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today on stockists selling, tracking a weakening global trend.
Traders said sentiment in nickel remained weak after it retreated in global markets as industrial production in China, the world's biggest consumer, grew slower than forecast.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months slid 0.7 per cent to USD 14,250 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) remained under selling and shed another Rs 5 to Rs 1,046-1,051 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 109-115, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,046-1,051, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 400, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 100, Lead imported Rs 101, Aluminum ingots Rs 154, Aluminum sheet cutting Rs 155, Aluminum wire scrap Rs 157 and Aluminum utensils scrap Rs 154.
