Elsewhere, zinc, lead, brass and copper also gained further owing to rising demand from industrial users.
While, tin and aluminium slipped due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Nickel climbed Rs 30 per kg to Rs 940 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 910 and zinc gained by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 254 as against Rs 248.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature and copper billets moved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 455, Rs 449, Rs 440 and Rs 483 as against yesterday's closing level of Rs 452, Rs 446, Rs 440 and Rs 483, respectively.

Copper utensils, copper sheet cuttings, brass sheet cuttings and lead inched up per kg each to Rs 416, Rs 436 Rs 349 and Rs 174, respectively.
However, tin declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,455 as against Rs 1,460 and aluminium ingots edged down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 157 from Rs 160.
Lead softened by a Re per kg to Rs 174.
