Nickel, tin firm up on good demand

Nickel and tin prices firmed up further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid good demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, copper, brass, select aluminium, zinc and lead prices recovered on fresh offtake from industrial users.
Nickel gained by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 1,105 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,098.
Tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,585 from Rs 1,580.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap moved-up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 493, Rs 521 and Rs 354 from Rs 490, Rs 518 and Rs 351, respectively.
Copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, aluminium ingots and lead also went up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 481, Rs 464, Rs 152 and Rs 144 as against Rs 479, Rs 150 and Rs 142.
Copper scrap heavy, brass sheet cutting and zinc inched- up by a Re per kg each to Rs 487 Rs 363 and Rs 172.
