Nickel, tin prices spurt on sustained demand

Nickel and tin prices spurted at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amidst sustained demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, copper, brass and aluminium prices edged-up on mild offtake from industrial users.
The industrial metal were trading lower at the LME, as previous session short covering spirit faded amid Chinese traders staying on the sidelines.
Nickel and tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,065 and Rs 1,435 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,060 and Rs 1,430.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting, aluminium utensils and lead all inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 493, Rs 485, Rs 475, Rs 452, Rs 521, Rs 469, Rs 326, Rs 335, Rs 115 and Rs 136 respectively.
