Nickel, tin recover on renewed demand

Nickel and tin prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists' buying amid fresh demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, lead, brass sheet cuttings and copper also edged higher due to fresh demand from industrial users.
Nickel prices increased by Rs 40 per kg to Rs 890 from Monday's close of Rs 850. Tin rose by Rs 30 per kg to Rs 1,700 as against Rs 1,670 yesterday.
Brass sheet cuttings gained Rs 8 per kg to Rs 328 as compared Rs 320 yesterday and lead moved up by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 155 from Rs 151.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper utensils, copper wire bar and copper sheet cuttings also edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 400, Rs 394, Rs 378, Rs 362, Rs 428 and Rs 372 as against Rs 398, Rs 392, Rs 376, Rs 360, Rs 426 and Rs 370, respectively.
