The industrial metal was trading higher in early trade at the London Metal Exchange (LME) but remained below recent eight-week peaks, underpinned by tight credit conditions in top consumer China and as volumes fade ahead of a string of economic data and a series of holidays this week.
Tin dropped by Rs 12 per kg to Rs 1,628 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,640.
Copper utensils scrap and nickel moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 463 and Rs 1,218 from Rs 465 and Rs 1,220.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and brass utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 488, Rs 482 and Rs 351, respectively.
