Nickel, tin spurt on good demand

Nickel and tin prices spurted at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amidst good demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, copper, select brass and aluminium also gained on higher offtake from industrial users.
The industrial metal edged higher at the LME in early trade, after declining for the past three sessions, helped by tighter supplies as sustained drawdowns at London Metal Exchange warehouses.
Tin and nickel climbed by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,580 and Rs 1,005 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,575 and Rs 1,000.
Aluminium ingots gained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 148 from Rs 146.
Copper cables scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 508, Rs 500, Rs 487, Rs 463, Rs 536, Rs 480 and Rs 358, respectively.
However, brass utensils scrap declined by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 346 from Rs 348 and zinc softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 165.
