Nickel weakens on poor offtake

Nickel prices weakened further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amidst poor offtake from alloy industries.
Whereas, brass sheet cuttings eased owing to subdued demand from consumer industries.
While, select copper gained further following good demand from industrial users.
Nickel prices dropped by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 800 from Monday's close Rs 820 and brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 295 as against Rs 300 yesterday.
However, copper armiture and copper utensils edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 360 and Rs 337 as compared Rs 358 and Rs 335 yesterday.
Copper sheet cuttings inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 356.
