Traders said sentiment turned better after nickel advanced to a 14-month high in global markets on concern that escalating tensions in Ukraine may disrupt supplies from Russia amid Indonesia's ban on ore exports.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months added 2 per cent to 18,275 dollar a metric tonne, the highest level since February 2013 on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) and zinc ingot rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 1,070-1,071 and Rs 117-123 per kg respectively.
