Global equity markets declined sharply due to heavy selling from investors ahead of the June 23 referendum in UK over the country's EU membership.
The 50-share index resumed lower at 8,102.25 and hovered in a range of 8,125.25 and 8,063.90 before ending the day at more than 2-week low at 8,110.60, showing a loss of 59.45 points or 0.73 per cent.
It has dropped by 162.45 points or 1.96 per cent in three days.

Major Nifty losers were Idea (3.57 per cent), followed by Tata Steel (3.51 per cent), ICICI Bank (3.35 per cent) and Tata Motors (2.71 per cent).
Gainers included BPCL (2.45 per cent), Lupin (1.17 per cent), Dr Reddy's Lab (1.12 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma (1.07 per cent).
Turnover in cash segment fell to Rs 15,058.18 crore from Rs 16,549.80 crore yesterday.
A total of 10,905.83 lakh shares changed hands in 66,72,773 trades.
