Nifty strengthens further by 134 pts to one-week high

The CNX Nifty ended higher for the second consecutive trading day by surging another by 134 pts points to one week high of 8,325.25 on persistent buying in select counters.
Shares of Banking, Healthcare and Auto sectors firmed up on good buying equiries.
Strong US jobs data announced last weekend pointed to economic growth picking up amid China's move to lower interest rates by 25 bps over the preceding weekend for the third time in six months to strengthened its flagging economy, boosted the emerging markets market sentiment, including India
The CNX Nifty resumed higher at 8,243.20 and hovered in a range of 8,332.75 and 8,224.65 before ending at 8,325.25, showing a gain of 133.75 points or 1.63 per cent.
It has gained by 267.95 points or 3.33 per cent in the two days.
Major Nifty gainers were Bank Of Baroda (16.95 pct), VEDL (5.67 pct), SBI (5.38 pct), Ultracem (4.66 pct) and Hero Motocorp (3.63 pc).
However, HUL fell by 3.41 pct followed by ITC 0.47 pct, Bharti Airtel 0.44 pct and Lupin 0.03 pct.
Turnover in the cash segment dropped to Rs 16,383.34 crore from Rs 16,758.34 crore on last Friday. A total of 6,797.06 lakh shares changed hands in 68,410,045 trades. The total market capitalisation of NSE stood at Rs 98,35,401 crore.
