Nigerian national with cocaine worth Rs 1.25 crore held

A 29-year-old Nigerian national, who was allegedly involved in drug trafficking has been arrested with 115 gm cocaine worth Rs 1.25 crore, police said today.
"The accused identified as Kingsley Chinedu Odefour, a native of the Nigerian state of Enugu, was arrested by the Crime Branch yesterday after it got a tip-off that a drug trafficker would be coming to Najafgarh Road," Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Chand.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had come to Delhi in 2012 on single entry Business Visa for Textile business at Tripur, Chennai. His Visa expired in November 2012 but he continued to stay illegally in India, he said.
He got into drug-trafficking after losses in his business. The seized cocaine had been supplied to him from a contact in a South American country through courier.
A case has been registered under sections of the NDPS Act and further investigations are on.
